Be Aware

  • We spend countless hours on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and other social media apps even though we are not needed to. We feel bad if we miss something as if it’s always necessary and it’s part of our work required for our survival. Is this freedom?

  • We attend parties we don’t want to, we try to impress people we don’t like much. We do things just because we don’t know who we are. Now, think about your self-imposed obligations.  Are they all necessary? Do you want to do them, or do you have to? Our self-imposed responsibilities control us, be it our need to have a digital presence or our constant drive to be more intelligent than the rest.

  • Remember that you are more than what you think you are, so don’t let anyone else label or describe you. Be mindful if you are a slave to anything. Be aware of your thoughts, emotions, and actions. We got freedom if we are aware of our abilities to control ourselves. Our awareness is our freedom.

But that’s just my take. Comment and share yours.
